SILVERSTEIN RELEASE NEW SINGLE “SKIN & BONES”
Canadian rock veteran Silverstein has dropped their powerful new single “Skin & Bones,” which is now available via UNFD. This marks the band’s first release of 2024, and alongside it, they’ve unveiled a gripping music video, which fans can watch it below
“‘Skin & Bones’ is an intensely personal track,” shares frontman Shane Told. “It’s about the sudden loss of someone who was incredibly close to me. We often get caught up in the everyday noise, forgetting how fragile life truly is. Losing one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known was a harsh reminder of that.”
Shane goes on to explain the unique recording process: “Being out in Joshua Tree, surrounded by the desert, felt like we were working with a blank canvas. With no distractions, I was able to dig deep and really connect with how I felt. Once I tapped into that, the performance just flowed—whether it was talking, singing, yelling, or screaming, every bit of emotion is right there in the track.”
Drummer Paul Koehler adds, “Earlier this year, we secluded ourselves in Joshua Tree for a few weeks, diving into our first new material in three years. ‘Skin & Bones’ is loaded with emotion and gives fans their first taste of what came out of those intense sessions.”
Silverstein will be hitting the road this fall with performances at Is For Lovers Festival in Cincinnati, OH, Furnace Fest in Princeton, AL, and When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV. They’ll also take the stage in New York City aboard the Liberty Belle Concert Cruise this September. For more details, visit their website here.
